Our everyday, go-to, affordable flashing was specially formulated for performance—and no VOCs. It boasts compatibility with most caulks and sealants used for window installation. It also performs over a broad temperature range, delivering a durable, long-lasting seal (which aren’t benefits you’ll get with rubberized asphalt-based alternatives).
TYPAR® Butyl Flashing is formulated without VOCs, and it’s compatible with most caulks and sealants used for window installation. And unlike rubberized asphalt-based flashings, it performs over a broader temperature range and delivers a durable seal over the long haul.
TYPAR 4”, 6”, 9”, and 12” Butyl Flashing definitely delivers on the basics. But now, we’re excited to introduce 18” Typar Butyl Transition Flashing to our flashing portfolio. Wide-width Typar Butyl is ideal for protecting those pesky inside and outside corners, where cladding installation has a greater chance of impacting the weather-resistant barrier.
